1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Depends on the gift. Usually boxes with wrapping paper.
2. Real tree or artificial?
I'm perfectly fine with carpeted floors having an artificial tree. Pre-lit is nice too.
3. When do you put up the tree?
The day after Thanksgiving, usually, but this year it had to wait for the room to be finished, so it was a week late.
4. When do you take the tree down?
When I was a kid, sometime before April. Now, as a family, we try to get it done before Twelfth Night.
5. Do you like eggnog?
Once a year, a couple sips. Then I'm done.
6. Favorite gift received as a child?
The Star Wars Death Star play set.
7. Do you have a nativity scene?
Not as such, no.
8. Hardest person to buy for?
If I'm the one doing the buying, pretty much everyone. Sometimes I hit the mark without a struggle.
9. Easiest person to buy for?
Me. I already know what I want.
10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
A 3-d puzzle of the Titanic. Now, you already know how I feel about the whole disaster...I found the puzzle to be in bad taste. I'm not much of a puzzle person anyway.
11. Mail or email Christmas cards?
Mail.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie?
White Christmas
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?
Sometime November-ish
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
No. I've recycled the packaging.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?
Just keep me fed, that's all I want.
16. Clear lights or colored on the tree?
Yes.
17. Favorite Christmas song?
"It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas", Bing Crosby's version
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home?
Used to travel when I was younger and had grandparents still alive. Now we stay home.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeers?
Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donder, Blitzen, and, later, thanks to Macy's Department Store: Rudolph. And, no, "Donder" is not a typo. That's the original spelling. We have it as "Donner" now thanks to a publishing error. (and it's reindeer for plural)
20. Angel on the tree top or a star?
An angel, purchased by my adoring wife while I sat in agony in the ER. Long story.
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?
Eve at the grandparents' house, morning at home.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of year?
The commercial frenzy that pervades every waking hour that you aren't safely locked in a darkened closet.
