Was that an insult?
Nov. 1st, 2006 16:33Being in the web business, my company, often as not, displaces someone who was the previous web designer for the client. We then have to deal with this individual to get usernames, passwords, IP addresses, the essential keys to getting their New Improved Website going.
As you might imagine, this person isn't always in the best of moods when his phone rings with me on the other end of the line.
We're dealing with one right now, though, who has made an art form of being unhelpful. He answers the phone only when at the office, and is rarely there. He doesn't return messages. He doesn't return emails. You have to catch him there. If he's already provided you with a piece of information, he'll inform you of that. If you lost it, too damn bad.
I remarked to my office partner, "This guy's rude, even by my standards."
My partner replied, "Damn. That's really saying something."

See if he gets the joke.
