Being in the web business, my company, often as not, displaces someone who was the previous web designer for the client. We then have to deal with this individual to get usernames, passwords, IP addresses, the essential keys to getting their New Improved Website going.

As you might imagine, this person isn't always in the best of moods when his phone rings with me on the other end of the line.

We're dealing with one right now, though, who has made an art form of being unhelpful. He answers the phone only when at the office, and is rarely there. He doesn't return messages. He doesn't return emails. You have to catch him there. If he's already provided you with a piece of information, he'll inform you of that. If you lost it, too damn bad.

I remarked to my office partner, "This guy's rude, even by my standards."

My partner replied, "Damn. That's really saying something."

Pity that we have to suffer fools like that. Frankly if he doesn't care enough to ensure that he supplies enough information for his site, or that his site is even maintained, why should you? Okay.. there is money involved. Sure. And there are bosses to please.. *sigh*

I really wish the world could implement a Department for customer's like that. A department that would take stupid and rude customers and explain to them, at their level, what an ass they are. And that is my wish for tonight.

It was a confirmation of your own tolerance of people.
Your own words show that somebody has to be really rude for you to care.
This guy surpasses that.

You're a straightup guy, Sparky :)

It wouldn't let me talk to you here unless I made an account. So I did.

You could always start signing your emails with something like: "Antiquis temporibus, nati tibi similes in rupibus ventosissimis exponebantur ad necem." *

See if he gets the joke.
