Another night of bad dreams
Oct. 24th, 2006 10:36We've lately been smelling something similar to sewer gas in the main bathroom, and as usually happens when I discover something new in the house that needs fixing, I dreamed about the house. As dreams about this house usually go, they were strange and unpleasant.
The house was purchased from us without our knowing it, but for more than market value. As we began to celebrate this discovery, a crew began tearing the house down around us, without giving us time to pack or even get out of the place. I ran about shouting at the crew to stop, that my family was still inside and we hadn't had time to get our things out, but they kept at the destruction.
Using chainsaws. Dividing the house and its contents into neat parts.
Gods. I woke at 5:30, wishing like hell I could make my body wake up as much as my mind was at that moment so I could give up on sleep, get up and avoid more unpleasantness. I dreamed again, though I remember only the feelings and not the content, which were equally as bad. When my son finally woke me for good, I was actually grateful.
I've tried not to let it color my day, and so far I've been okay. We'll see if that continues.
