mapsedge: Me at Stone Bridge Coffee House (Default)

I had intended to have the side porch entryway completed this weekend so demolition could start on the front porch. Opportunity and Money diverged this weekend - Money decided to go and whistle behind a tree and Opportunity went and did its own thing without telling anyone.

It was a weekend spent mostly in worry, mostly for Michelle. She has detailed it in her own journal so there's no need for me to, here. When she is down I try to pick up as much of the household as I can so she can take care of herself.

With the added stressors there just wasn't a whole lot of motivation to be found, even for the tasks I could accomplish. On the other hand, I'd been carrying the mental impression that having the front porch rebuilt was A High Priority - I found this weekend that wasn't the case: important, yes, but not a divorcing offense if not completed by, say, next week.

I wasn't on the schedule to run multimedia for church this weekend. My friend Karen - formerly of the Main Street Coffeehouse and director of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" - had a death in the family and called me Saturday evening to see if I could fill in. The Powerpoint was done, I just had to run it. No problem. A few missing slides I discovered during service, nothing the congregation couldn't live without, and I fixed them for second service. Karen - a few hours sleep later - came in just in time for second service, and I went home to see to my family.

I could use a good night's sleep myself.
