The Seven Questions Meme
Seven things to do before I die
Seven things I cannot do
Seven things that attract me to... people, y'know, for making the beast with two backs
Seven things I say
Seven books that I love
Seven movies that I've loved
Seven things to do before I die
- Return to Ireland
- Visit the Titanic
- Take two weeks with nothing to do
- Take my family to Disney World. Twice.
- See my kids at least through high school
- Design and be involved in the building of my own house, perhaps be my own contractor and carpenter
- Come to grips with my faith
Seven things I cannot do
- Come to grips with my faith
- Ski...hell, any greatly exertive activity
- Cope with heat above ninety degrees for any length of time. Hence, no more faires.
- Plumbing, specifically sweating copper
- Cope well with change, particularly when I think a job is done, or nearly so
- Keep what hair I've got left
- Kick someone my height in the temple. Used to be able to.
Seven things that attract me to... people, y'know, for making the beast with two backs
- Gender, specifically female. This is the only one where order matters.
- Smile
- Eyes
- Ankles
- Breasts. No plastic, please. And, yes, one can tell, so stop lying to yourself.
- Passion outside the bedroom
- Expressive hands, mouth. (if they work well in casual conversation, one hopes that...)
Seven things I say
- Why, thank you Katie! (I say this one a lot)
- Well. That's new and interesting. (usually directed at my computer)
- Let me make the math easy for you...
- Oh, fuck me. (though not usually as an invitation)
- Blow me. (ditto)
- Let's put this in perspective, shall we? (strongly related, and perhaps interchangeable with, #3)
- Sorry piece of shit (or, sorry mutherfucker...strongly related, and perhaps interchangeable with, #2)
Seven books that I love
- Stranger in a Strange Land
- The Stand
- The Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook
- Seize the Night
- Anything by Terry Pratchett
- On a Pale Horse
- Just about anything by Robert Parker
Seven movies that I've loved
- Star Wars Episode IV, A New Hope (Not particularly good, but groundbreaking)
- Star Wars Episode III, Revenge of the Sith (finally, a Star Wars movie in the new trilogy that was actually good, in spite of Hayden Christiansen.)
- Ball of Fire
- Field of Dreams ("Is this heaven?" "No. It's Iowa.")
- Pirates of the Carribean ("You cheated!" "Pirate.")
- Jaws (duh-dum. duh-dum. duh-duh-duh-duh...)
- Ladyhawke (Just ignore the soundtrack. They weren't even a real band, for Crissakes)
