Let me start this one with THANK YOU. I appreciate the input and your time. You're really helping me to distill down to something much better than I could do on my own.

Three more choices. #1 and #2 are the same, except for the font. #3 simplifies the compass rose even more.

#1: the winner from last time:

#2: similar to #1, with a stronger typeface:

#3: similar still, but with a simplified rose:

Hmmm. I like them all. Of these, my preference I think is #1.

And I think 2 I can't say why, my eye just went to it.

#1 or #2, but I think the stronger font on #2 works better for the overall image. It also appears to be slightly more 'in proportion' to the overall design, to my eye.

#3 with the simplified compass rose loses the image of both the rose image and the shading/shadowing that make the entire thing 'pop out' to the eye more.

So I vote #2.

I didn't vote before, but I vote #2. I like the bolder look with the shaded compass rose

Hmmm....I think I'd go with #1, though perhaps not before testing it against #2 with the shadowing added back to the compass...

Whoops, didn't mean to reply to a comment. In an case, I just realized that #2 just have shadowing, I just couldn't see it on this monitor, without really trying to. Perhaps try again, with the shadowing darker/clearer as with #1, and then I'll have better luck choosing between them.

I like #1 the best...I think the bolder font on the other two is a bit too harsh.

Number 3 does, as Becky points out, lose the effect of the rose and that loss lessens the statement overall, so I'd say that's a no from my perspective.

2, while being bolder and making a heavier statement, may cause the words to be come too blocky and blobby. With my normally blurry eyesight, the letters sort of haloed into each other. Still, it's a good one, and even with my concerns, I like it.

Number 1 is still my favorite, because it just seems more clean to me. The shadow underlying the rose is defined better, giving more dimension to the overall effect. The size of the rose also seems to be important for some reason. It is smaller here, taking less emphasis away from the lettering, but giving the logo balance. 2's rose is larger and it feels like the balance is more weighted toward it's end.

#1 - I think the heaviness of #2 is a touch overwhelming. I *might* add a bit of a shadow to the lettering (and underline) to match the shadow on the rose.

#1

What I really like about #2 and #3 is the balance (weight and positional) between Edge and media. I prefer #3, mostly because the extra detail of the rose in #2 is distracting my eye.

I'm waffling between #1 and #2, so I'm just going to vote for both of them, with a slight preference toward #2. :)

I like 1 and 2 as well, with 2 taking a slight lead.

My eye loves number two, regardless of how sure my brain is. LOL

#1 (with one reservation)

Without wanting to be too picky, I really think the circle on the compass rose (any of them) is too big. It makes it look less like a compass to me, more like an odd shape. Just my $0.02.
