mapsedgeI had to go buy wiper blades. Of my two choices of places to go, one is ten minutes away, the other twenty. The further one is actually four times the distance, though only twice the time, because there are two major intersections between here and option 1, and nothing but country highway between here and option 2. A longer trip, but I wanted the drive. I've been working on a screenplay that involves the protagonist leaving the city and moving to a more rural community, and I've been needing some inspiration.
Option 2 it was then.
The temperature between my arrival at work and my leaving over lunch easily dropped ten degrees, and the winds shifted out of the North/Northwest, gusting at times hard enough to push my vehicle around. As I drove, I watched leaves and the occasional branch fly, or roll, or skitter across the asphalt, and the rain and gray sky made the perfect backdrop. Oh yes, I thought, yes. Autumn's here, alright.
