mapsedge: Me at Stone Bridge Coffee House (Default)
For the first night of our Anniversary Staycation, we went to New Theatre Restaurant with friends.  I've already said that the place just keeps sinking in the quality of the food and service (obvious that they're starting to cut corners), but the show was fun, Neil Simon's "Rumors".

Let me tell you, though, nothing sucks the comedy out of dinner theatre like hearing tornado sirens under the noise of the show.  I don't think very many people heard it, but I heard a few mumblings from a few people in the audience, so certainly some of us did.

The show went on.  I guess the house manager was checking the weather - I heard later that the actual tornado was in Bonner and didn't come close to where we were.

I'm trying to feel my way around Fedora 9.  Generally speaking, I don't care what operating system I have as long as I can depend on it and make my way around to do what I need to do.  That's why I like - and still hold on to - Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

I recognize, though, that those OSes' days are numbered and the future (at least as long Steve Ballmer and resource-hogs like Vista hold sway) is in free and open source OSes.
