A couple are a little dated, but still amusing...

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning.

Helpdesk tip #2: When the support analyst says "Click...", wait for the rest of the sentence.

There is an old saying that if an infinite number of monkeys typed on an infinite number of keyboards for an infinite number of years, eventually all the works of Shakespeare would be produced. Now, thanks to Usenet, we know this is not true.

A good programmer is someone who looks both ways before crossing a one-way street.

A computer programmer is someone who, when told to "Go to Hell," sees the "go to," rather than the destination, as harmful.

Visual Basic makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. VB.Net makes it harder, but when you do, it blows away your whole leg.

I think that - except for private to-do lists and things of no outside import whatsoever - private posts are sort of an oxymoron on an internet blog. As a result I debated for a long while whether or not to post this.  Ultimately, I think there are folks who will want to know what's going on, so here we are.

The Company has been running in the red, bleeding out for about three years now.  We've been kept afloat by Money Guy, who periodically loans the company enough money to make payroll.  The Company needs about 40 customers @ 500/month to break even.  At that level, Money Guy still won't be paid, but at least he won't have to loan the company money the fourth weekend of every month.

Today was a milestone of sorts.  Today, the countdown-to-break-even number hit single digits.  9 left...and two more good prospects in the hopper.
