The heat is gone
Jul. 21st, 2006 09:23The danger of dressing for the day based on the high temp shown online is that they don't tell you what time the high for today is planned for. Under normal circumstances, that's about 3:00 in the afternoon. On day's like today, it's at 1:00 in the morning with temperatures falling throughout the day.
So, I dressed for 85 degrees...shorts, t-shirt. Perfect if I'd come in to work overnight. Now, however, it's 71, and the air conditioning is on in the office.
Brr.
Still, some lovely images from the morning:
Dark gray light through the bedroom window when I rose this morning...
Looking out the windows of the family room at darkness to the Northwest as the rain approached from Kansas...
A lone robin standing in the front yard, not moving, getting rained on...
Lightning in the clouds ahead of me, as my car climbed a hill on the way to work...
Better day today.
