Solace and Longshire, update
Jul. 19th, 2006 19:12I was asked today if I was going to finish the story. The good news, if you've enjoyed it, is yes. The bad news, if you haven't, is yes.
There are probably two or three more episodes to go in the story; after all, we're only up to Sext, and there is at least one more significant mass before Compline.
The story has been slow to unfold as my schedule has filled and emotional pool emptied, but things are slowing down and the batteries are recharging. I began work today on the next episode, wherein Longshire's chief annoyance, a young ambitious priest named Kevin is introduced. Every story needs a little conflict, and I found that even though Solace and Samuel disagree on dogmatic terms, there wasn't enough conflict there to carry the momentum forward without destroying their friendship.
And that I'm not willing to do.
More coming.
