Nothing like waiting on your NLE1 to render an hour and ten minutes worth of video with a single, green screen layer (a timecode in the lower right hand corner).
Three hours, sixteen minutes elapsed. Four hours, twenty five minutes to go. Thankfully there's no stiff deadline on this, though the guy's been waiting a couple weeks for it. I'll give him the footage with the timecode on DVD, he'll make notes ("I like the thing you're doing at 00,05,16,29..." for instance), ship it back to me for a rough cut.
At 23:45 with the kids getting up routinely at 7:00, I'm not waiting around for it to finish. I'm going to bed.
Edit: 8:38, Sunday morning. 12:10:00 elapsed, 2:39:00 to go.
Damn.
