mapsedgeWe share office space with Money Guy's wife, who is a lawyer, and her secretary. I learned yesterday that the secretary gave her two weeks notice, and it made me vaguely happy. She's nice enough, and not awful to look at, but she's got this laugh...when she really gets going, it's a fingernails-on-chalkboard kind of experience. The intake of breath after the laugh sounds like an asthmatic fighting for breath, "ha-ha-ha-ha-haauuuGGGHGHHHHH-haauuuGGGHGHHHHH-haaauuuGGGHGHHHHH." We keep our office door closed.
So, now that she's a paralegal (passed that certification back in November) I'm certain she's found a better position than playing gopher for a single-lawyer firm doing hard luck cases in what is still largely a rural community. I wish her the best of it, and I'll miss the person. But not the laugh.
