bwah? wow. Now I am scared. I just ordered a new laptop for fyreseer and I couldn't find anything worthwhile that still had XP on it. So I am... um, well, anticipating... my first experience with Vista Home Premium.
Yep... I've seen a variation of this message already. I've had this laptop for about 4 weeks, and Vista sucks about as much as I expected it to.
Sure, I could buy yet another copy of XP Pro (we have how many of them around this house now?), but I don't want to bother with a reformat and re-install since I've already done it once since I brought it home. (This was the floor model - the recovery disks came out of the sealed packaging the minute I walked in the front door.)
Plus, I'd have to go through the process of contacting MS to change the auto-installed license on this machine. I've done that once before - *that* sucks boulders...
The body of evidence continues to grow, and yet people still defend Vista. But people still defend OJ, too.
Here's a rational thought... If you are going to go to all the trouble to learn a new OS, why not cut to the chase and get a Mac? Sidestep the wannabe and get the real McCoy? Vista is trying to imitate the GUI of Apple anyway.
I guess that makes too much sense...Or indoctrination to Gatesware is just hooked too deep in the lemmings.
