Actually avoided a sunburn this weekend, and not by sitting on my ass in front of the electronics for forty-eight hours. Most of the work I needed to do was in the backyard, which is shaded in the morning and afternoon - the hottest hours of the day I worked inside or ran errands. Got the hobbit door mostly done: pictures are available here:

Still needs hardware, but the thought is there. Today, I start a new project at work, some programming stuff I've never tried before; the challenge will make it interesting.

M's aunt put a fence on the street side of her garden, and put an old door (fullsize, with glass panes) in the center, with a mailbox, a flower box on the front...very cute. That sort of served as the inspiration. That, and the old steps left from the previous deck.
