The Duggars must be stopped!
Aug. 3rd, 2007 10:38With so many kids parentless, living in squalor and abject poverty, along comes child #17. Jesus. Or rather, Jennifer Danielle.
Let's start here. Let's follow that with this, part of which I quote below:
Ah, but this is America, yes? People should be allowed to do whatever the hell they want with their families if they can afford it and if it's within the law and so long as they aren't gay or deviant or happily flouting Good Christian Values, right? Shouldn't they? Hell, gay couples still can't openly adopt a baby in most states (they either lie, or one adopts and the other must apply as "co-parent"), but Michelle Duggar can pop out 16 kids and no one says, oh my freaking God, stop it, stop it now, you thoughtless, selfish, baby-drunk people.
The Duggar family offends me like nothing else on this planet. Thankfully, someone with a rather larger public voice than mine said something. The last paragraph sums up my feelings pretty well - especially the part I highlighted in red.
(And for God's sake, after 17 kids, how can she manage enough traction to get anything smaller than a watermelon to ejaculate and knock her up?)

So people like the Duggars reproduce over a dozen simpleton resource hogs, who will vote for a Republican when the time comes; and the people we know will only replace themselves, if that, in the voting pool.
No wonder we're fucked in our political system.
It rewards idiots - as long as they are fertile enough and christian enough.
Every generation since the 60's, when people started realizing the population problem, has given us more W's and fewer Henry David Thoreau's.
More and more thoughtless consumers and less and less stewards of the planet.
