This, from my daughter, Katie, who is six.  She saw the bridge collapse on the news tonight, and when told we have friends there, she decided to write.  And I quote:

Gonna copy this & show it to Bear. All are well, & reports are trickling in from all local peeps & co-workers that they too are well. Spent the night on the phone reassuring family & friends when we could get through & have spent today catching up w/ extended internet family. Friends in London & Dublin have emailed- the news has travelled.

Fortunately, as bad as it is, it is not worse. The fatalities remain low, so we are focussing our positive thoughts on the missing- hoping they turn up safe.

Please hug your little ones for us & assure them we are fine & grateful for their concern.
