mapsedge: Me at Stone Bridge Coffee House (music at the coffee shop 2)

Thursdays are usually uneventful. Dance in the evening, of course, but it's my work-from-home day and there usually isn't anything to report.

So, here we are, at Centerpoint ER, Michelle and I, with her being treated for a migraine that no meds we had a home would touch. Morphine is on board, another cocktail has been ordered and is on the way. This is not new. It's one of those migraines that only happens two or three times a year, thankfully, and we're both old hands at it. Just an old married couple, so secure about stuff that we don't even bother with rings and the nursing staff spends some cumulative minutes asking "...and you're the husband/spouse?" over and over. I think I should have a t-shirt made: "THE HUSBAND."

ER chairs still suck. No effort at all to provide for the comfort of the supporting family member. Maybe they want to add opportunities for treating blood clots in the leg. Maybe it's just a sick marketing gimmick.

She's feeling better, but the pain hasn't yet loosened its foothold. I'm hoping they haven't forgotten about us.

Ouch, I'm sorry Michelle is dealing with that. And you.
