Finally got to bed early this morning after spending several hours pissed off (for reasons I won't detail here) and using that energy to:

  1. Finish an order for the Montana Shakespeare Company (yea!)

  2. Get at least a part of my Raleigh costume done

I think I turned in at 2:00.

This morning, up at 6:30 to get my work day together and all my stuff together for White Hart. I leave for work 1/2 hour later than usual - really an hour late, since I'm perpetually late by 1/2 an hour anyway. (My partner, when I arrive, is pissy. Rightfully so.)

On the way, stop by the bank to get money: the Wells Fargo guy is doing maintenance on the machine. Nice choice there, BOB: shut down an ATM during prime drive time. Good one. You've got a future with this company. There are no other US Banks between here and my office, so I'm mostly broke.

Stop at the post office to check the Montana order box through. I'm kind enough to my mail carrier to not expect him (or her) to carry a four pound box of tights around on the route.

To Starbucks with what cash I do have (really just pocket change) for cappuchino. The line's wrapped around the building. No time to wait.

So, no cash. No cappuchino. No breakfast. It has to get better, doesn't it?

Yes, it does, really. But that does settle one thing; I'm bringing our 'travelling' coffee pot with me as well as some of the German coffee that Bruce likes. While it's not cappuchino, it's strong enough to make little difference.

I know that Charles and Di have a coffee pot but I'm not sure how well prepared they are for real caffeine junkies! I'm also bringing some of my homemade trail mix and the made-up fixings for sausage roll.

Does that help any? And don't worry about the costume, Mark's isn't done either and I may not stay in mine all day...we'll see!

I thought about packing mine, but it's pretty manky so I'm glad yours will be there. I'll be interested to try the German. I've had some Venezualan that was very interesting.

Yes, that does help. The KCRF deadline is the 28th of this month, and most of the performers - especially all the people I'm sewing for - didn't get their costumes approved until last week. I think it's Jim's revenge for us refusing to custom dye the gypsy tights this year, even though we later said we would.

The upshot is that the cobbler's going barefoot. I'm bringing enough costuming to look presentable for the local media, but certainly not the real deal. That comes next weekend.

See you tonight!

Believe me, I understand! I"m very, very, very glad that I'm not sewing for anybody at KCRF this season. One horrible faire deadline this Spring was more than enough for me.

In fact, other than stuff we need for the band this summer, I've decided to stop custom sewing for the time being. I'm going to straight online business and (Finally!) building the web-site and making samples for the catalog on the site. I'm really tired of all the hassles associated with building costumes for someone else's approval with an arbitrary deadline. Done...

Oh, and I think the only media will be newspaper so 'enough costuming got look presentable' will be just fine. Don't put any more pressure on yourself...

See you tonight!
