I know that you know that there are people who wouldn't mind at all coming to Independence to babysit, and I think I understand that the biggest part of your reluctance is that it's reeeeeeeally faaaaaaar and asking people for favors which might actively inconvenience them is reeeeeeally haaaaaaard.
So I'm going to go ahead and speak for any number of people, and say "Let's look at it this way. We think your family is nifty. We think your kids are very cool, and a great deal of fun to hang around with. Additionally, some of us are looking for opportunities to smuggle out your pets in our purses. Therefore, would you please allow us the opportunity to come hang out with your kids and your critters sometime? We'd even be willing to hang out with you two once you get home, if you really want."
