1. Elaborate on your default icon.
Me playing music at the Main Street Coffee House before its purchase by Lois McDonald and subsequent decline into highbrow, snooty non-profitability.
2. What's your current relationship status?
Married, o so married :)
3. Ever have a near-death experience?
Sorta. Although I didn't actually die and come back, when, trapped beneath my car and in a great deal of shock, I considered just closing my eyes and accepting that Death would be okay, I distinctly heard a voice - a male voice, as it happens - say, "No."
4. Name an obvious quality you have.
Perseverance, though my stamina is getting less and less every year.
5. What's the name of the song that's stuck in your head right now?
At the moment, I don't have one. Lately, it's been "Maid on the Shore".
6. Name a celebrity you would marry.
Marry? No thanks. Naomi Watts comes to mind for other reasons, though.
7. Who will cut and paste this first?
Idiotic question.
8. Has anyone ever said you look like a celebrity?
William Christopher.
9. Do you wear a watch? What kind?
With sensory issues? None. Don't like things that constrict.
10. Do you have anything pierced?
Left ear, back in college. The hole is still open, but I rarely put anything in it.
11. Do you have any tattoos?
No. Can't think of anything I'd want that permanently.
12. Do you like pain?
No, not really.
13. Do you like to shop?
I do not. I like to hunt and buy.
14. What was the last thing you paid for with cash?
Breakfast.
15. What was the last thing you paid for with your credit/debit card?
Christmas presents.
16. Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?
Someone for whom I'm attempting to repair a computer.
17. What is on your desktop background?
One of the generic Windows offerings - a gentle, peaceful, abstract, blue-ish wave.
18. What is the background on your cell phone?
Whatever came with the phone.
19. Do you like redheads?
And blonds, and brunettes, and...
20. Do you know any twins?
Only in multiples of two.
21. Do you have any weird relatives?
I am the weird relative. The only one in my family who hasn't swallowed the Dyed In The Wool Christianity pill...or, rather, the only one to spit it back out.
22. What was the last movie you watched?
Patrick Stewart's, A Christmas Carol.
23. What was the last book you read?
Trace, by Patricia Cornwell. Her writing isn't particularly good - all of her characters of the last ten years and five books have been essentially broken and unlikeable, and her mastery of the epilogue is second only to my mastery of nuclear physics - but the stories are at least interesting.
