mapsedge: Me at Stone Bridge Coffee House (Titanic)
I have started working my way across the front of the house, now, tightening up the siding around the windows I replaced earlier in the year.  Aside from one window done and two waiting (three windows, but only two openings to mess with, you see) there is nothing new to report.

Casualties: my right, middle finger.  Any sentence containing the two phrases "I lost control of the Sawz-All" and "I wasn't wearing leather gloves" is going to describe a situation the does not end well.  The injury is to the pad of the distal phalanx, and feels like it goes all the way to the bone.  Essentially, I was stabbed three times, very quickly.  The tip of my finger is fine, so I can type and play the guitar without discomfort, but I'm not tapping the steering wheel in time to the music.  It aches all the way up into my forearm.

Yes, my tetanus is up to date.  My last shot was four years ago*.  Thanks for asking.

The biggest disappointment is that I only have a stick and a half of siding left, and it's taking about four for each window.  Therefore, I don't have enough to finish the front of the house, and we haven't enough funds to buy another bundle.  We'll see how that situation goes.  I was hoping to finish before the really cold weather sets in, but that might not be an option.  It won't be the first time I've hung siding while it sleeted, and I'll be under an overhang for shelter this time. :)

* After, somewhat proverbially, stepping on a rusty nail.
