Going on week three
Jun. 25th, 2008 08:19"You know how when you lean back in a chair so it's just on two legs, then you lean back a little too much and you almost fall over but just at the last second you catch yourself? I feel like that all the time."

Week three of Holy Shit That's A Lot Of Work! I have three websites to create in two days, so I'll be brief:
We had a terrific Saturday night with
jehosefatz and his wife,
iarraidh and wife
dragonofisis. Much good company, much good food, and much good music. I had the foresight to run the video camera while Frank and I were playing, but haven't had time to do anything but capture the footage for safekeeping. 60 minutes in HiDef, and no time to edit.
We've moved to a diet free of food dyes and several preservatives, buying organic when we can. Supposedly that helps with behavioral problems in autistic kids. It's early yet; we'll see what happens.
Switched from DSL (faster than dial-up, but not by much in my neighborhood) to cable modem. Now the websites hit my browser so fast they make a little ~plink~ sound against the glass of the monitor. The connection is fast enough I can actually take advantage of watching movies through NetFlix. Try to do that with AT&T DSL and you get a blank screen, three little words in black and white:
"Dude. As if."
This change also meant moving away from DirectTv to Comcast cable. No big loss there, really.
Remember the Monty Python sketch, The Cheese Shop? That's what canceling DirectTv is like. That's a post for later, when I have time to write it.
