...But a good one.

Sunday I performed with [livejournal.com profile] aerie13 at HPF. I've performed for plenty of audiences, but never UP on a stage before, which took some getting used to. The biggest hurdle was a mix-up with our monitors: Lezlie had mine and I had hers, and neither of us could hear ourselves playing. Not such a big problem for L, since she knows her own stuff and (I'm sure) could play it while sleeping, but for myself I had to guess my way through quite a lot of it. Thank God for DADGAD, which is pretty hard to screw up.

A couple other new experiences at HPF:

For the first time in my life I was greeted with the phrase "Holy fucking shit! It's Bill!", which left me feeling absurdly pleased.

I found I have little opinion about public nudity, from either gender, enjoying some, ignoring the rest.

In other news:

The west wall (family room) is completely sided now. YIPPEE. Left: finish around Katie's window.

Yesterday, Monday: did nothing. Mark your calendars.

mapsedge: Me at Stone Bridge Coffee House (hat)
Michelle rightly pointed out, I did two things yesterday.

One: I bought us a new dryer, since our old one crapped out beyond my ability to fix it (which means it didn't just come unplugged). It's one of the fancy-shmancy new ones that will dry a king-sized comforter or '67 VW Beetle. Back ordered till June's end, but you take what you can get.

Two: I helped her father with some mudding. Took all of ten minutes.

Then I napped with my son. Bliss.
