mapsedge: Me at Stone Bridge Coffee House (hat)
In my office, with the internal air conditioning turned off (this many computers in the room heats it uncomfortably) and the window open, listening to the birds and breeze outside. I'll start a pot of coffee and get to work in a few minutes. Had a visit from a friend this morning as I drove to work.

The fog is back. That's one thing I love about cooler weather, fog. On the drive to work it usually starts in the valley on 291 that cups the river. On the approach to the bridge I drove under the fog - could see the top and bottom edges as though a great slab of the stuff had been laid across the hills. Then, I'm over the bridge and beginning the long ascent up the hill upon which the town of Liberty sits, and driving up into the fogbank ceiling. Could see only four or five car lengths until the 33 split, then it thinned.

I don't know why the fog appeals to me, but it does. A vestigial memory of my roots in Wales, maybe. The suggestion of sunshine and concealed intent in the grayness. I got a good dose of it this morning.
