There are people in this world so hungry that the only way they can see God is in a loaf of bread.
I might change it to love, but if someone is hungry & cold, how can they think far beyond that meal or that warmth. Yeah, maybe you just bought them a few hours. Or maybe you bought them a day that they didn't have to spend looking for food, so they could make some steps in getting their lives back on track. I like to think the latter is a good possibility.
