Out of curiosity, does Katie seem to be thrown off at all by the change of seasons, in the SPD sense? Jamie's always been really light sensitive, which plays a big part in general, but Winter is rough on him (not being able to get out and do more physical stuff outsite is of course another element there), and Autumn's transition in weather and light is the hardest yet.
