I don't get it...

The other day, preparing the video for burning to DVD, it took nearly seventeen hours.  Today, I transcoded Act 1 in just over two hours, the end title sequence in just under three minutes.

I don't get it.

Was it just incrementally rendering the changes you made today, or was it re-rendering all the changes from the original files?
