So now, back at work. Not completely better, but functioning well enough that some face time was in order for the office. My partners get antsy when I'm gone for any length of time, in spite of the fact that I can work as effectively from home as here.
The bug is down to some sore sinuses, a ticklish throat, and, first thing in the morning, an hour's hacking of the accumulated sludge of the night. The biggest difficulty I face right now is exhaustion. Last night was the first night in about a week that I've been able to sleep more than thirty minutes at a stretch, and there's a lot of catching up to do. I figure I'll be dead by 2:00. I'm not far from it now.
I worry about my family, too. Michelle is on the mend, but coping with the kids is tough even when she's fully healthy, which she definitely is not right now. As is usual, the infection, after a brief stay in her head, went straight to her lungs as bronchitis. She knows how to treat that, and has the means to do so, but it slows her down.
Just a few more days, hopefully, and we'll be all better.
