I went into a concrete block, line-printer filled computer room (that should have been OSHA-OUCH noisy) and found out it was surprisingly quiet. They had taken the (egg carton bottom shaped) foam from every hardware delivery they had received and stuck it to the wall. Walls were covered with pink, green and gray foam rectangles.
