Tired of all of those surveys made up by high school kids?
'Have you ever kissed someone?'
'Missed someone?'
'Told someone you loved them?'

50 questions for the people who are a little older....

1. What bill do you hate paying the most?

You'd have to ask Michelle that question.  The fact that so much of our money goes to installment debt really chaps.  We're working on that, though.

2. Where was the last place you had a romantic dinner?

The Melting Pot.

3. Do you regret losing your virginity to who you lost it to?

No.  Sheri was my first "real" relationship, insofar as a relationship between two people under the age of twenty five can be considered "real."  I was just about as virginal as it's possible for a high school age boy to be, she was not.  She was a considerate teacher.

4. If you could go back and change one thing what would it be?

I would have broken up with Sheri much, much sooner than I did.  Our realtionship turned poison about two years in.  I had the opportunities, I just never took them.  Abandonment issues, even when I'm the one doing the leaving.  God only knows - and maybe not even Him/Her/Them - how that would have changed the course of my life, but it would have been for the better, at least at the time.

5. Name of your first grade teacher?

No idea.  The first teacher I remember was 2nd grade, and that was Mrs. Thompson.

6. What do you really want to be doing right now?

If not sleeping or otherwise engaged in bed, I would love to be behind a camera somewhere.

7. What did you want to be when you were growing up?

A professional actor.

8. How many colleges did you attend?

*counting* Longview...MWSC...CMSU...UMKC...Rockhurst...five.  Finished: zero.

9. Why did you choose the shirt that you have on right now?

It was clean and I hadn't worn it yet this week.

10. What are your thoughts on gas prices?

There's a lot going on that is not understood, even by the people who are running The Game.  Some of it is greed, some is simple economics, all of it sucks.

11. If you could move anywhere and take someone with you where would it be?

Nebraska, either Lincoln or Omaha, and I'd take my family.

12. First thought when the alarm went off this morning?

What the fuck..?  ** snooze **

13. Last thought before going to sleep last night?

"That was nice..."

14. Do you miss being a child?

Considering my childhood, no.  I miss having someone else take responsibility for stuff.

15. Who is the last person you had an argument with?

Argue?  Really argue?  One of my co-workers, probably.  It's been years since my last knock-down-drag-out with anyone, and that was with my wife.

16. What errand/chore do you despise?

Dealing in any way with the cat box.

17. If you didn't have to work, would you volunteer?

Yeah, I probably would.

18. Get up early or sleep in?

Whatever.  I would give much just to sleep through the night and feel like I derived some benefit thereby.

19. What is your favorite cartoon character?

Been a while since I've cared a fig for cartoons.  Back in the day, though, I was a real fan of Daffy Duck - the version that emerged during World War II and lived through the '50's.

20. Favorite thing to do at night with a girl/guy?

Intimacy in any form - sexual or platonic - is wonderful.  And, why the qualifier, "at night?"  Like the time of day matters.

21. Have you found real love yet?

I should hope so.

22. When did you first start feeling old?

Last year, actually.

23.What do you do for fun?

Music, videography.

24. Your favorite lunch meat?

From the deli counter, beef.  London broil if I can get it.  From the lunchmeat case, pickle & pimento loaf.

25. What do you get every time you go into Costco (Or Sam's)?

When we had a membership, that was where we bought milk.  I don't really do what this question implies - that there is some product somewhere that I can't walk out of a store without buying.

26. Beach or lake?

Lake.

27. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual?

Not at all.  I think that, sociollogically, it's necessary.  "Marriage", as a concept or institution, sets boundaries a society can use to help define itself.  Should everyone be married?  Certainly not.

28. Do you own property?

I did, for about two days.  Then I got a home equity loan.

29. Favorite Guilty pleasures?

I don't really have one of those.

30. Favorite movie you wouldn't want anyone to find out about?

Ditto.  I'm pretty pedestrian that way.

31. What's your drink?

Alcohol: vodka tonic or tequila shot.  Non: latté or sweet iced tea.

32. Cowboys or Indians?

If I had to choose?  Cowboy.

33. Cops or Robbers?

Cops.

34. Who from high school would you like to run in to?

I'm pretty happy with the status quo.

35. What radio station is your radio tuned to right now?

980, KMBZ, though I only listen on the drive in for weather and news at the top of the hour.

36. Norm or Cliff?

Cliff.

37. Grey's or 'The Office?

Meh.

38. Worst relationship mistake that you wish you could take back?

A girl in southern Missouri that I wasted a lot of time, money and energy on.

39. Do you like the person that sits directly across from you at work?

Sure.

40. What famous person would you like to have dinner with?

That's a toughie.  Dinner?  I'd have to say Jesus.  I've got a lot of unanswered questions, and simple faith ain't cutting it any more.

41. Indoors or Outdoors?

For what?  And what time of year?  April-May, I'd be more likely to choose outdoors for a lot of things I'd never consider in late August or February.

42. Have you ever crashed your vehicle?

Try rolled.  Try reduced to a height that would fit through an apartment building mail slot.  Try totally destroyed, and nearly myself in the bargain.

43. Have you ever had to use a fire extinguisher for its intended purpose?

Nope.

44. Last book you read?

Listened toCell,  Stephen King.

45. Do you have a teddy bear?

Not as such, no.

46. Strangest place you have ever brushed your teeth?

Um...in my mouth?

47. Somewhere in California you've never been and would like to go?

I don't much care for California as real estate, though I think a visit to the Anaheim Disneyland wouldn't come amiss.

48.Do you go to church?

Yes, though I'm pretty ambivalent about it.

49. At this point in your life would you rather start a new career or a new relationship?

New career, no question.

50. How old are you?

41
