Hell, I'm terrible at keeping up with those I do see on a regular basis.
One of the things I've dug about this entire LJ thing is that I've both had a chance to keep up with people I care about, but I've also had the opportunity to better come to know those I would only see once or twice a year (and then only really in passing).
Glad to hear that the world is the world with Mr. R.
