Gonna be a hot time...

We'd hoped to have a new furnace and ductwork by Christmas.

Well, John called today. They'll be here about 10:00 tomorrow morning. By the time I get home, it will already be installed.

What's the word? Oh yes. *ahem* Squee!

Anyhow, the plan is to replace the furnace first. That way, we're not without heat for any substantial length of time. Once that's done, they'll do the ductwork in phases, again, so we're not without heat. Then, I guess, the heat pump and a/c. About a week to finish it all and we won't have to move out. John estimates that the amount we'll save per month will just about equal the payment on the loan. Suh-weet.

$10k, in case you were wondering. If not for the damn ductwork...

And now, back to your regularly scheduled holiday-rushing-about.

Edit: So, I'm cleaning in the basement just enough so they can get the equipment in with a minimum of fuss. You would think, with the hundreds of yards of fabric I have down here, I could find one stinkin' dropcloth to cover all the electronics!

I'm glad to hear that they're doing to be doing it in phases so you won't have to leave. I hope to see you soon!
