Two wrecks...

...on the way to work. Thankfully, I was but an observer.

One happened as I was standing in line at QuikTrip getting breakfast (since I forgot to pick up any cereal on my way out the door), a van and a pickup, right at the intersection.

The second was on 291 in Liberty, just before the railroad bridge. Couldn't see what vehicles were involved because 291 was completely blocked by fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, and other shmucks like me trying to jump off the hiway onto a side street. One illegal U-turn and a little backtracking put me into downtown Liberty, skirting the party.

Rare to see just one. Today, two in a day. Hope this isn't a harbinger of how the rest of my day's going to go.

i heard about the one in liberty on the radio i think... someone was lifewatched out if it's the one i'm thinking of.

Yikes. I was listening to a book on tape (The DaVinci Code) rather than the radio this morning. Since I don't work downtown KC anymore, I don't have a lot of need for traffic reports.

I normally don't pay attention since my commute is only 4 minutes, but that happened to be what was on the radio for my four minutes lol
