The tights business is fickle

Downside: Our supplier no longer carries hunter green, our most popular color.
Upside: We can order it through them from the mill.
Downside: We have to order in "dye lots", anywhere from 150 - 200 yards.
Upside: We won't have to order that color for another twenty-five years.
Downside: It's this way with a lot of our popular colors
Upside: No upside to that one.
Downside: That's a lot of fabric to have to store.
Upside: I get to build shelves.

...which reminds me that I didn't take you guys up on the remainder of that bolt of white brocade. Not that I need any more fabric....

We need to get more shelving, too. I think a storage building may be in the future so we're not paying $50/month rental! And it isn't even fabric that's in there!

And at some point I am going to get Bruce into tights! Hunter green, absolutely!

Cool! ....now I have to start working on him....

Note to self: tell the stories of the gals' reactions to Pete and Sean when they first wore tights at faire.

Before I forget, do you want me to set the white back for you? We're going to be having an open house/sale sometime in May with the intention of getting rid of all of our fabrics and inventory tights. If you want it, I'll keep it off the tables.

Yeah....I have some of the same pattern in another color and think there'll be a use for it coming up. Heaven help me....

And thank you!

So hunter green is in this season...yes?

Hunter green is one of those colors that we just can't seem to keep in. All the darker colors are that way, navy; wine; chocolate brown. The one I really miss (but am not willing to pay $1400 to get) is olive drab green. Not a lot of call for it, but the folks that wanted it REALLY wanted it.

$1400 yikes!
