There's been a little discussion lately about Thomas Covenant.  It's a difficult read, true, and the universe Donaldson created is hopelessly derivitive (fans of LOTR will be right at home), but I still enjoyed the books: yes, both the first and second chronicles.  Now this:

My ex told me I would love Covenant and he was wrong...it's not that I hated it but jeez, I guess I'm really into dessert reading after the years of seminary studying!

Well, I guess I enjoyed those first two Covenant books well enough to check the third outta the library someday...the movie...just brings up shades of other sci-fi series or something and I'm afraid it really wont be any good...
