mapsedge: Me at Stone Bridge Coffee House (Titanic)

A bittersweet moment

My serger has a thin film of dust on the deck, and slowly the shop is being transformed.  I'm typing this as I wait for a backup job to finish: Cobian is backing up the latest changes to the current video project, a project which is almost done.)  I've learned a lot on this project, but this isn't the blog for it.  That will go over at Map's Edge.)

I have a few pairs of tights to make, some for me, some not, none for a paying customer.  Tomorrow, I will cancel my PayQuake account (my credit card processor.)  The big roll of fabric went on EBay today; if it doesn't sell it goes in the dumpster.

The bittersweet moment of the title is over in the dark corner where the lights are turned off.

On my (former) cutting table there are four packages waiting for address labels.  They are the last official Seamlyne orders, and they'll ship tomorrow and Tuesday.  There's more stuff to sell, of course: the big serger, the leather machine, a couple of bullhides, but the official stuff is all done.

And now, the backup job complete, I'm off to bed.   I'm all done, too.

I beg you, before you throw fabric in a dumpster, contact your local school and see if their home ec. dept. can use it. I know our local one is always hungry for fabric of any kind for the students to learn with...before you chuck it, let me know, and I will drive up there, if need be, and bring it back to my local home ec. dept. rather than see it trashed.

I'm sorry about the sadness. Hey, if you want some of the equipment that you're getting rid of to go to a friendly, let me know what you want for each and you can visit them whenever you like.:)
