mapsedge: Me at Stone Bridge Coffee House (Default)

Wednesday night

With being home for three days, I've watched a few more movies than I might in an average week*.

With supper done**, we're enjoying a dessert of cherry cobbler and vanilla ice cream and watching Eragon.  I'm enjoying it far more than I thought I would.  Jeremy Irons rocks.  To bad we don't get to actually see Rachel Weisz.

* So far we've seen Ratatouille, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, and Die Hard With A Vengeance.  By myself I've seen Bridge to Terabithia, and tried to watch The Fountain, a beautifully photographed but self-indulgent load of unintelligible crap.

** Nice to know I still remember how to cook.

It's really good. The rat animation is just unbelievable. The short "Lifted" on the DVD is hysterically funny, too.

methinks i'm just going to buy it.

We were also pleasantly surprised by Eragon.
Even got the DVD.
It's the first in a trilogy, so I hope they continue.

Glad things are getting back to "normal" :)

And yes...Almost any movie is worth watching with jeremy irons in it.

We were also pleasantly surprised by Eragon.

And John Malkovich, who I wish had had a bigger role. Next time, eh?

I wasn't expecting to like it because it just sounded like "Star Wars" with large scaley things instead of Ewoks...I mean, dead uncle, old warrior mentor, betrayed from within...

Similarities aside, though, I was pretty much completely engaged from the start.

You probably already know about this, but a friend pointed it out to me today, and it made me think about your movie making, and I thought I'd be remiss if I didn't share it. Thought it might be useful someday.

It's actually a pretty handy site for other things, including graph paper of different varieties, which is why she shared it.

Ooh, Bob...do you know how rare it is to be hit with a website I don't already know about? Well done! Well done, indeed!

I've done a quick perusal of the site - at first glance (and one or two downloads) it looks like there's a ton of good material there. Thank you!

*grins*

I almost didn't send it, because I figured you probably already knew about it.

*does happy Bob dance*

You are most welcome!
