Honestly, I feel sorry for her. She was probably coached on every question but that one, she got scared and nervous in front of a huge crowd and all the TV cameras, and now she's being passed around the internet as a complete idiot- all this and she's only a teenager.

I've been in pageants and extemporaneous speaking events before- they are nerve wracking experiences.

While I agree, it's very nerve wracking to be up in front of MILLIONS of people, she was chosen as a representative of South Carolina. I would like to think that these girls are coached on clear headed thinking, and the ability to speak eloquently. This, of course, brings me to my comment of "What the hell was that?"
