Audio frustration...

My Peavy mixer - at least I THINK it's the mixer - has a noisy channel, but it's not noisy all the time. Every ten minutes or so I get this dreadful zzzzzzz noise from it - when I mute my PC from the soundcard, the noise remains, so I assume it's the mixer. Next time it happens I'll turn off the amp and listen to the mixer directly and we'll see.

With the purchase of some new home theatre stuff, I've got a few pieces of electronics I can pawn for the cash to purchase a new mixer. Can't record through the ugly bee-buzz.

I have the part to fix that. There's an MPF102 JFET transistor right at the front end of the channel that will often fail loudly, and that's usually the first thing to go in a Peavey mixer.

I'm really happy with my Behringer EuroRack 802A (?), little 4-channel job, good for both studio and on the road.

But yeah, if you'd like it fixed, I'll be happy to.

This mixer might be a good quick solution...I know mine does all I need it to do. The last two CDs were recorded through it.
