Last day of September
The last day of September ends, and it's been a pretty good day. Gots me a killer sinus headache on the right side, but not dibilitating and I've had a very productive day. I'm ahead of schedule for my goals for the week at the day job. I'm pretty much caught up - or at least within acceptable working windows - with everything Seamlyne. Just tonight, finished alterations on an Irish skirt and made two pair of tights.
DayJob Secretary is trying my patience a little more every day. She's quite confrontational, even moreso when she's talking about something she knows little about. Challenge her worldview once, she gets defensive. Challenge it a second time, she gets combative. Challenge it yet a third time and she gets angry. Create a support ticket after consulting her, you can guarantee you'll type something in wrong. Create a ticket without consulting her first, and you're deliberately cutting her out of the process. (Never mind that we were creating support tickets and managing our workflow for years before she showed up.) If she wasn't MoneyGuy's daughter, she'd have been fired long ago.
Missouri Town's Autumn celebration is next weekend, Weston Irish Fest and ren faire the weekend after that. We'll attend the first as a family, the kids will dance at the second, and I'll perform/work a booth at the third. All of the seasonal markers are falling into place for me. I'm ready for sweatshirts, cotton rag sweaters, pumpkins, and burning leaves.
