As a note for "Talk Like Shakespeare Day"

Allow me to offer a correction to the instructions on http://www.talklikeshakespeare.org/ :

Instead of you, say thou. Instead of ya'll, say thee.

Not so much. The difference between "you" and "thee/thou" is a matter of formality as well as historicity. "You" is formal, "thee/thou" is familiar.

Refer to the king, queen, and your boss - in any situation where you are subordinate or unsure as to your station - as "you."

"Thee" and "thou" are reserved for your friends and your subordinates.

That's why I have coached ren fest performers to always address patrons as "you" - the patrons paid to get in, so don't bother thee-ing and thou-ing.

Pet peeve. I'm just saying.
