What the heck

Just taking the new icon out for a spin.

The bird, for those of you who don't know, is a sun conyer, about four times the size of a parakeet (though he'll keep growing a bit), and a hundred times sweeter. Never nipped me once (which did not preclude nibbling, and was content to ride anywhere I wanted to take him.

Gotta get me one of these.

Conyers are cool! I had a client who had one. I went to visit her and she immediately told me that she was a one-person bird who would not be friendly with me! The bird, however, immediately hopped on my shoulder and sat cooing (or as you so appropriately said, eeping at me) and giving me little pecks on the cheek, until the client got obviously jealous, said something about the bird possibly biting me, and took her back. I really like conyers! And BTW, my vote is for the beard, too! Very nice!

The male half of the couple owned by the bird always got this look in his eye whenever I'd come near.

He was an exuberant chap and quite disconnected from his bird's emotional state, which is to say that, for example, he ignored the bird's cheeps of discomfort while making the bird dance on his hand in time to the gypsy drummers. Things like that.

I was content to let the bird crawl on me, crawl under my hat, and he enjoyed the breaks and the quiet. I'm pretty sure Mr. Pirate thought the bird wouldn't come back, and given the choice he might not have.

And BTW, my vote is for the beard, too! Very nice!

Thank you very much. It comes in a little bristly, and unless I keep it conditioned every day, Michelle, and Katie for that matter, won't kiss me. :)
