Post-Birthday, State of the Bill

Yes, it was a happy birthday. Because large gatherings are a problem for me and Katie, I don't usually celebrate the occasion beyond a dinner out.

Dinner sans-children with Michelle Friday night - a really good ribeye for me. Saturday, a small dinner with dear friends, music, chocolate brownies with mint chocolate chip ice cream. Thank you Anna, for the risotto. Now I know :) Thank you, Katie (and Michelle) for the brownies. Lowe's gift cards are always The. Perfect. Gift. And in cool wooden box, too. I'm thinking the kids will fight over the box when the card is gone.

Yes, it was a very happy birthday. To all of you who wished me a happy birthday - including you unfortunates on Facebook, where I hardly ever tread - thank you.

This anniversary - my 43rd - is bugging me some, but that's a post for another time, when I actually have time to ruminate. Today, I don't. Business is busy-ness, and as usual there are deadlines to meet.

As an unfortunate, I can only say that I sent greetings via Facebook because it reminded me and I happened to be there. Glad to hear that it was good, happy, and apparently pleasing to The Bill.

Isn't that kind of like fighting over the refridgerator box once the fridge is out? Come ON Dad.....those are the *coolest* toys. :D
